Pre planning:- Things to consider
Content - what needs to go on
Need to know exactly what the website needs to contain, what were showing, where were showing it.
Content Layout - how its placed
No point having a massive sexy overly complicated website were people have spend 20mins just trying to find out where and when the exhibition is
Theme - how its going to look when applied
Need to collaborate with graphics. Have to work on how were going to make this website look good + fit with exhibit
What were using to create it -
dreamweaver - thats whats on the curriculum so the labs will have it and consensus so far is good but open to suggestions
Build offline or online?
Building online is better for group work as we can all access it whenever we please - however only one person will be able to build a particular component at a time leading to.....
.........How are we going to build it - job assignment
I suggest we derive a default template to use then assign pages to build. The theme will be locked into the default page so even with different layouts etc they will all “flow”
Getting it online - cost etc -
Where is the website going to be hosted - cost, accessibility whilst building, access times - data size - this might have actually already have been solved so worry about that next week
Special techniques -how were going to get high marks
If anyone knows any fancy techniques to make this website look amazing that would be sweet.
These are all just SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS so feel free to come up with something different instead its just all the things to think about before we can actually do anything productive.

Definitely on the ball with this, need to be getting everything sorted sooner rather then later when everyones individual work will take president as it always does.
I'd recommend simplifying the theme to something like the word DIGITAL. That way it opens things up for the graphic people to use anything from binary code to sequential dots for interpretation. Focused spotlights projectors and tv's would all fit in nicely and everything use suggested would fit in.
However saying this i don't know what everyone wants to show with their work and some peoples stuff may not fit in to this - in that case ignore me :)
Web team now has separate Facebook page to conduct meetings
Hour long meeting on friday 10th- discussed presentation assignment distribution. Each member assigned specific area to present
Richard - short intro
Matt - Explain why theme - colours + symbols
Richard - Layout
Jo - Decorative equipment, display pieces
Danny - Individual boards appearance/layout
Alex - website appearance
Presentation contribution = 3D Video walkthrough
Hour long meeting on Monday 13th - Discussed any problems with presentation work which occurred over weekend - collaborated files to be shown as single presentation
All files received and put into single powerpoint
Team communication kept constant and frequent through Facebook setup.
One group created to allow entire class to communicate on exhibition
Second group implemented for web team to communicate
All communications if not done face to face during class times are fed through this new system to allow quick response times despite locations due to mobile + computer implementation. New system more organised and allowed not only web team communication but entire group communication. Messages can be reviewed and responded to instantly or at a later date is unavailable. New system ensures all members have full access at all times as was agreed upon before implementation otherwise alternative methods would have been used.
- Communication system worked extremely well with group members who communicated frequently. Problems were resolved effectively allowing smooth workflow through web team who participated.

Also, it would be nice to see some sketches or screen shots of your personal website, or ideas for icons or colours.
